Building Futures

(Usually meet 1st Thursday of the month at 8:00 am.) This student-focused committee aims to promote career development in the skilled trades for high school and college age students. To do this, the Building Futures committee plans & executes annual events like the Build My Future hands-on career fair and the Tools for Schools giveaway. This committee also assists with fundraising efforts for the annual Cabin Fever Fun-Raiser and LABA Golf Outing.

Finance

(Usually meet 3rd Monday of the month at 3:00 pm – does not meet every month.) Oversee annual budgeting tasks related to events, membership, and donation programs.

Government Affairs

(Usually meets 1st Monday of the month at Noon.) Oversees and coordinates the government affairs activities and programs of the Association in order to execute the public policy goals and objectives of the Association. Forms relationships and connections with local, county, state, and national representatives.

LABA Home Show Committee

(Usually meets 2nd Tuesday of the month at 3:30 pm.) Develops, produces, and oversees all aspects of the Association’s annual home show as a source of non-dues revenue for the Association.

Marketing Membership and Education (MME)

(Usually meets 1st Wednesday of the month at 3:30 pm.) Identifies and recruits new members of the Association and promotes involvement in all Association programs and activities. Also works on marketing the association and educating the members.

Parade of Homes Committee

(Usually meets 2nd Thursday of the month at 3:30 pm) Develops, produces and oversees all aspects of the Association’s Parade of Homes as a source of non-dues revenue for the Association.
